Hotel carpets are soiled more by heavy traffic than by stains. While this soiling should normally be cleaned with water, this is difficult with wall-to-wall carpets. Previously, wet cleaning methods used uncontrolled water, leading to bleeding and foul odors. Because the water seeped through the carpet fibers and didn't dry, it caused mold. Later, dry foam, sawdust, and host systems emerged. Although hotels claim to use the most common dry foam system, it generally involves using excessive amounts of detergent and water, without a dry foam generator, pushing the dirt to the bottom with a brush to get by. The most important issue overlooked is that high-pH chemicals accumulate even in areas that aren't stained but only soiled. This excess chemical, not rinsed away, attracts dirt like a magnet, creating a vicious cycle in high-traffic areas over time. The carpet gets dirtier and requires more chemicals. Furthermore, the soiling at the bottom of the carpet will cause stains if water is spilled. While Mr. Kleen machines offer a professional solution, they are more costly for sustainable cleaning. Spray Dry Kleen is a spray-dry cleaning system developed in recent years using an encapsulation system. The chemical is applied to the carpet using a Mr. Kleen brand machine with a cylindrical brush, removing excess dirt by lifting the carpet fibers. Thanks to the encapsulation chemical, the dirt is trapped inside, transforming into a glassy, ​​brittle structure when dry, and then removed as a powder with a vacuum cleaner. Because its pH is around 7, it does not damage the carpet. It offers a very quick and practical solution.
